In 2014, the Musée d’Orsay renovated its Impressionist exhibits and gave Van Gogh his own Gallery on the Niveau médian (2nd floor) amidst richly coloured walls reminiscent of the bleus, ochres and rouges of the Côte d’Azur. This wing has become my new favorite spot in the d’Orsay!
In this post are some highlights of Van Gogh which are exhibited in this lovely, tranquil room (January 2016):
Terrace of a Cafe on Montmartre (La Guinguette)
Fritillaires couronne impériale dans un vase de cuivre
Vincent’s Bedroom in Arles
The Church at Auvers
Marguerite Gachet in the Garden
